Almost all of our employees who travel on a daily basis—regional developers, site managers, maintenance workers—drive electric vehicles from French manufacturers: Scenic E-Tech or Mégane E-Tech. ✨
Why?
1️⃣ Because we care about our planet 🌎
The carbon footprint of electric vehicles, in a country like France where electricity is very low carbon, is much better than that of gasoline or diesel models. In addition, progress is being made to make the production and recycling of electric batteries more environmentally friendly. 🌼
📢 And if that argument alone isn’t enough:
2️⃣ To reduce our deadly dependence on imported fossil fuels
Every year, France imports more than €60 billion worth of fossil fuels, largely for transportation. 🚗
Driving electric French vehicles means driving using locally produced electricity in locally manufactured cars. The Renault Scenic E-Tech is manufactured in Douai, and more than 95% of the electrons consumed are from renewable or nuclear sources and therefore come from within France. 🌞
3️⃣Because it’s more economical for our company 💰
Although electric cars are still generally more expensive to buy, this is quickly offset by the cost of running them, as a “full tank” of electricity is significantly cheaper than a tank of gasoline or diesel, especially when you can recharge at home. 🏡
4️⃣ Because there are no longer any issues with range or charging stations ⚡
We lease vehicles with a range of over 500 km, which fully satisfies our employees. Charging stations have been rolled out on a massive scale; they are everywhere, much more so than gas stations. Driving an electric car also offers driving comfort and is much less tiring on long days on the road! 💁♀️
5️⃣Because electric cars are more sustainable 🐝
In France, consumers generally keep their gasoline or diesel cars for around ten years, and few vehicles exceed 200,000 km on the odometer. When it comes to electric cars, the potential is much higher: some models already exceed 700,000 km on the odometer, which corresponds to nearly 45 years of average use (a French person drives about 15,000 km per year)! ✅
📢 Don’t hesitate any longer for your company fleet, go electric!
